This is great news. I’ve already signed up for Mark Kermode’s film reviews, which have so far been excellent (and hilarious).
The Today Programme is usually quite good as well. It’s just the 8:10am interview, but unfortunately they tend to publish them in the middle of the day, so there’s no chance of getting the same [...] (…)

There are some shocking consequences to this piece of legislation. Hopefully it will not pass. However what’s most interesting about the story is seeing the Author’s Guild on the other side of the IP law fence, after their recent fight with Google over Google Book Search.

Podcasts for language learning

Deutsche-Welle (a sort of German BBC World, I suppose) has started podcasting a lot of its content. This is great news on its own, but what’s even better for linguistic sado-masochists (i.e. German learners) like myself is that they’ve also published a podcast of the news, spoken slowly in German, and updated daily.
