Stereoscopic cameras at the MAKE:Fest

These cameras were connected to a set of stereoscopic displays (really two normal displays with a half-mirror in between them.
It was an extraordinarily convincing effect. And very Johnny 5:

Tell me more about the technical aspects of these cameras. Could I use them to spy on You Know Who?

Here’s the display it was connected to:
It’s two displays separated by semi-transparent polarised glass. You look in a direction perpendicular to the glass (so facing either display), and wear polarised glasses. One lens of the glasses is polarised in one direction, and the other in the other.
Not sure if it’d work on her… And you already have a 3D view!
