Absurd?

I heard today that the UK government has a plan to fit elderly people with dementia with electronic tags, so that they become trackable via GPS.
In recognition of this sterling proposal, I would like to float some other complimentary measures.

I think it’s a decent idea. I remember the women in my street with dementia got out and disappeared, there was a police manhunt like I’ve never seen, helicopters, around five police cars, lots of polis. Seems like a staggering waste of resources compared to just a wee tagging device.
